You could now immigrate to Canada through two economic pilot programs for foreign national caregivers: The Home Child Care Provider Pilot (NOC 4411, excluding foster parents) and Home Support Worker Pilot programs (NOC 4412, excluding housekeeping work).
. You are eligible to apply if you have the following:
valid Canadian work experience in an eligible occupation or a full-time job offer from a Canadian employer in an eligible caregiver occupation
minimum education requirements and language proficiency
A maximum of 2,750 applications are accepted each year for each of these pilots.
Note: The Home Child Care Provider Pilot (HCCP) is closed for the 2022 intake. As of January 17, 2022, it reached an annual cap of 2,750. The program is now closed by IRCC for the 2022 intake. It will reopen on 01 January 2023.
An applicant has to either submit 24 months of qualifying Canadian work experience to apply for permanent residence. In case of lack of such experience, a relevant job offer is required to receive an occupation-restricted open work permit at the time of application.
